'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the maiden significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he previously was, and would certainly think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's top focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract negotiations could start in the coming future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring record continues to impress
